The vibe here is super chill and perfect for a group of friends looking for a fun time. The best part is that it's just a short distance from Kincho Stadium and Sumiyoshi Park, so we got to catch a game and have a picnic in the park. And let's not forget about the awesome internet connection, we were able to surf the web and stay connected with our friends back home.
The only thing that could have made our stay even better is if there were some more party activities for young people. Don't get me wrong, the hostel was really cool, but a little more excitement would have taken it to the next level.

I chose Bonfire Hostel for its proximity to Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine, a place I had been wanting to visit. However, the complimentary wireless internet and barbecue grills were pleasant surprises. Being able to cook our own meals and stay connected online made our stay even more enjoyable.
Narrow stairs, messy room, dusty blanket. Misleading signage.

Great price value ratio. Small and cozy hostel with clean facilities. the owner, let's call him Taka, was very helpful and friendly. the hostel had a nice cafe downstairs where I could grab some food. the internet was fast and reliable, perfect for staying connected.
The owner was sometimes unaware of new guests arriving, so it's best to greet him to make sure he knows you're there. the social area/table outside the dorm can be noisy, especially if you're a light sleeper.

The place had such a cool vibe and we felt right at home. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the staff, especially Taka, were super friendly and helpful. We loved being able to cook our own breakfast using the free kitchen and spices. And the best part was borrowing the bikes and going on evening rides around the city. Shoutout to Taka for helping me with the pink bike! We also met some incredible travelers and even went on a road trip together. Best vacation ever!
Only if I had to ask for one thing, I wish there were more late-night activities or events for us young party-goers. But overall, it was a fantastic stay filled with adventure and new friends.

I chose Bonfire Hostel specifically because it was close to Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine, a place I really wanted to visit. But I was pleasantly surprised by the multilingual staff and complimentary wireless Internet access. The hostel also had barbecue grills, which I liked because it gave me the chance to cook my own meals.
The location might be distant from the main hotspots of Osaka, BUT there is a delicious ramen spot with butter chicken broth nearby. That in itself is a sufficient reason to stay at Bonfire Hostel.

The room at Bonfire Hostel Osaka was absolutely amazing! It had a balcony where we could relax and enjoy the view. The microwave and kitchenware were super convenient for heating up snacks for the kids. Plus, the shared kitchen was great for cooking meals. We also loved that the room had an air purifier and comfortable linens, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep.
Personally, I didn't enjoy the shared bathrooms at the hostel. But hey, that's just my preference, and others might not mind it at all!

The owner of Bonfire Hostel was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We arrived early in the morning and he arranged for us to have an early check-in and prepared the beds for us. The hostel was clean and had great facilities, including a washing machine and a rooftop clothesline for drying. The showers were excellent and the location was convenient with buses and a tube station nearby. The cafe downstairs was also delicious. I highly recommend this hostel.

I recently stayed at Bonfire Hostel in Osaka for two weeks. The owner is extremely dedicated and ensures that everything is clean and tidy. The beds are comfortable and come with curtains for privacy. The bathroom and pantry are well-maintained, and guests can freely use the microwave, stove, and fridge. Free ice tea and coffee are provided daily. The owner also gives great recommendations for local places to visit and eat, making the stay enjoyable and convenient. The hostel is located near many restaurants and convenient stores, and it was a perfect base for exploring the surrounding areas of Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, and Himeji.
Can't recommend highly enough this hostel.
